Who am I?

I’m Tom and I’m the Finance & Services Officer here at Hallam Union. I am currently taking a year out (sabbatical) from my degree, a BSc in Events Management. I’ve been involved with Hallam Union for a few years now, I originally started as a volunteer for Stage Services, then as a DJ and Photographer and finally as an elected officer!

What do I do?

Along with the other officers, I am responsible for anything financial here at Hallam Union. This involves working closely with the management to ensure the Union is financially stable!

Another large part of my role is organising and running some of the Union’s major democratic processes, this includes the elections, Student Assembly and any referenda we have. This means I can help to make sure Hallam Union remains your Union!

Also, I work closely with the Media Officer to help deliver any student media we have here at the Union, this is currently our printed magazine SHU-Life, our radio station SHU-Radio and our video channel SHU-Box.

How can I get in touch?

As an elected officer, the most important part of my job is to listen to you, the students. Hallam Union is your union and therefore should provide everything you want from a Union, whether that be Entertainments, Activities, Support, Advice, just about anything you want really!
