If you are a student at Sheffield Hallam University, then you are a member of Hallam Union and being a member means you have unlimited access to all the events, activities and services we provide.
Hallam Union is all about representing your views and making your time at University more fun and more rewarding. We have loads of events, clubs and societies set up so you can meet new people, try new things and have a good time, plus lots of activities that provide new skills and experience to enhance your CV. Go to the “Get Involved” section of this website for more information.
Hallam Union is also a not for profit organisation so any money you do spend in your Union in our bar or cafe gets reinvested straight back into improving the services we provide. For events, menus and latest offers go to our “What’s on” page.
Who’s in charge? The Students’ Union is run by 6 full time officers who support 9 part time union reps all of which have been democratically elected by the student body. Officers and volunteers are supported by a dedicated and professional staff team. Our officers help to ensure that everything we do is student centred and will liaise formally and informally with you to ensure your views are represented to the University, the community and nationally.
Hallam Union also has an independent advice centre for if you have a problem or to give you a helping hand when you are facing something new, like finding your first rented house, or managing your finances.
