BME Rep – Oluwafemi Akomelede

WHAT EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS WILL I BRING TO THE ROLE?
Oluwafemi AkomeledeDuring secondary school I used to be the deputy head boy, prefect and active Listener. I then went on to college where I was appointed as student union governor my role was to attend board meetings report back to the union and relay any complaints from students to quality and standards committee. a year later 2009 I was then appointed as president of the student union my role now was to make sure the union operate effectively motivate members of the union, represent the union in public media appearances, manage the £4000 student union for the year, and encourage other student to get involved with the union. I have recently presented the college in Greece for a five day E&D (Equality and Diversity) program and press conference where many people from six EU countries came together to work on a project non as ‘Diversonopoly’. The two years I’ve spent in college has greatly increased my communication skills, my leadership skills and advertising skills, I believe I am able to take on anything task because I know I am well and able to achieve.

IN THIS ROLE I WILL ACHIEVE FOR STUDENTS
