St Wilfrids Centre is a day time centre for homeless and vulnerable people. As a volunteer you shall be helping to support the clients, St Wilfrids work with, as a befriender by listening and talking to them. You will also be engaging with them in activities such as pool, table tennis and board games.
Volunteers shall be required all year round for a minimum of 3 and half hours to a maximum of 6 hours on a Tuesday.
As a volunteer it is essential that you are sensitive to clients’ needs and have good communication and listening skills.
A CRB is required for this opportunity. This can be provided for all home students.
This is an individual opportunity with an external organisation. Students are required to apply through the normal Volunteering application process and may then be invited for an informal interview with the external organisation.
