The Get Active Leader role is an exciting opportunity to meet and support other students at Sheffield Hallam. The Get Active Summer programme is being advertised to our international student intake, which arrive over the period.
It is a 10 week programme covering the following sports; football, basketball, table tennis, futsal and badminton. The role will involve you greeting the students at a meeting point and accompanying them to the activities based at either City or Collegiate campus. This is also an ideal opportunity for you to interact with the students. Once at the activities, your role will be to support the lead coach and take the register, then join in with the activities and engage with the students with any help or advice.
For the accompanying walk you are responsible for the safety of your group whilst crossing the roads and navigating the streets.
At the activity you are responsible for seeing to the students’ needs and helping the lead coach.
Volunteers will be required from 26th June – 30th August, Tuesdays and Thursday, for around 3 – 6 hours (depending on number of shifts).
