This fantastic project is new for this year and it’s certainly one to get excited about! As a team, you will organise a Valentine’s Ball for people with learning disabilities. You will liaise with the venue, produce a flyer to advertise the event, decorate the ballroom and put on any activities you choose throughout the night. This is a fantastic chance to get involved with running an event and meeting new people. You will work alongside ‘Reach for the Stars’ for this project.
Weekly planning meetings in Semester 1.
You will also need to fundraise for this project. You will need to run around two fundraising events prior to Christmas.
In semester two you will help run the event on in the evening.
You will be highly organised and enjoy working as part of a team with a clear goal.
Knowledge of fundraising and events planning is desirable but not essential.
A CRB is required for this opportunity. This can be provided by Hallam Union for all home students.
