Women’s Hockey is one of the biggest and most successful sports club at Sheffield Hallam, with all three teams earning promotion in BUCS within the last two seasons. The club provides an opportunity to participate at both a competitive or social level.
In the 09/10 season, we were nominated for Club of the Year, whilst our coach was nominated as Coach of the Year.
Training takes place every Monday evening at Abbeydale Sports Club, where we share the pitch with the Men’s Hockey teams.
The Hockey season commences with an all-day, mixed 7-a side annual tournament in memory of the late Dave Lewis, at Abbeydale Sports Club. The BUCS league competitions kick starts in October.
The social opportunities with Hallam Hockey are endless, with all Hallam sports teams dressing up in fancy dress to celebrate their wins. This is a fantastic chance to bond with team members and other clubs.
Hallam Hockey is a strong, successful and social club. Becoming part of the Hallam Hockey Family will be one of the most rewarding and enjoyable experiences during your time at University.
