We have two women’s football teams here at Hallam, both of which have just been promoted. The first team now play in the BUCS Premier League, along with the other top 6 universities in the country. The Second team now play in BUCS 2B. Both teams also compete in two cup competitions and end the year with the big match against Sheffield Uni… VARSITY. Playing for Hallam football has so many benefits… not only do you dabble in a little football, you also meet some amazing people and have socials every Wednesday! Leanne Hall has been our Head Coach for 5 years, she is an international coach who has also represented England. Although Leanne is keen on her fitness and putting us through our paces, she also makes sure we have a laugh and enjoy training.

To get started come and see us in the Sports Fair at the HUBS (Student’s Union Building) on the 21st September, and you can sign up for Football trials here.
Every member of the club must purchase a Team Hallam membership for £85, which is for a full year. This is available to purchase from the reception desk at either of the two Sport Hallam sports facilities. There is an additional gym membership on top of this, which would be recommended, but not compulsory. Once paid, please remember to register via the Sports Union Home Page to make your payment valid!
Trials cost £5, which will cover the cost of your transport for both the first and second trial.
We train on Monday nights at Tapton school, Sheffield. We meet at Tesco on Ecclesall Road at 6.15 and get lifts to training. Training starts at 6.45pm and finishes at 8.15pm.
We are currently training to arrange a second training session – Time and day TBC.
At the start of the season we have a couple of friendly matches against different universities. During the BUCS season, we play once a week on a Wednesday afternoon.
