Every year Hallam Union elects a group of students to make up the Hallam Sports Committee. The 2011/12 Sports Committee is made up of 10 students from a variety of sports clubs.
The Sports Committee is there to support the Sports Officer, help with the running of Sports Union events including Varsity, Winter Varsity and the Sports Ball. Also ensuring that all Sports Clubs are fairly represented within Hallam Union. Helping the development of Sport at Sheffield Hallam.

What are you most looking forward to this year whilst being on the Sports Committee?
I am looking forward to meeting new people on the Sports Committee and to making the most of my final year at Hallam.
What do you want to achieve by being on the Sports Committee 2010/11?
By being on the Sports Committee i hope to achieve better player care for all of our athletes, i think as a university we should be doing a lot more to ensure that the people representing us are in the best condition possible and that they are looked after accordingly. I would also like to see teams having more say in events like Varsity and Winter Varsity to make these events as special as they could and should be.

Winter Varsity and Varsity Football! And seeing how we much we can improve sport at Hallam.
What do you want to achieve by being on the Sports Committee 2010/11?
Making sport at Hallam even more popular to watch, and helping create better links between the Students Union and sports clubs of all sizes

Hobbies and interests:
Live and breathe sport. Mainly tennis and football but also enjoy golf. I support Norwich City and try to get to as many games as I can.
What are you most looking forward to this year whilst being on the Sports Committee?
Generally having more involvement in the running of Team Hallam and working with other members of the committee to help make it a good year for sport at Hallam. Also looking forward to being part of the running of Varsity and helping to retain the title again!
What do you want to achieve by being on the Sports Committee 2011/12?
Obviously retaining the Varsity trophy will be a massive part of it. But also doing everything I can to help Team Hallam have its most successful year in BUCS competitions, and trying to get more students at Hallam involved in sport.

I am looking forward to being more involved with the sport at Hallam, helping to organise Varsity and help us beat Uni again by ensuring all clubs work their hardest to be the best they can be.
What do you want to achieve by being on the Sports Committee 2010/11?
I want to become a sound member in the sporting community of Hallam, I want us to achieve success together and help the union gain a closer link to all the sports clubs at Hallam.

Knowing that I can see first hand all the planning and the behind the scenes of Hallam Sports Committee! And represent what the student wants and do my best with the rest of the committee to get this!

I want to play a large role in the events side of the committee as this is the area that interests me the most.

The chance to work alongside the other committee members to make events such as Winter Varsity, Varsity, Get Active Week and the Sports Ball as big and successful as they can be.
What do you want to achieve by being on the Sports Committee 2010/11?
To continue the work we did last year in promotion of sport at Hallam and help enable every sports club to have the best possible opportunity to succeed!

What are you most looking forward to this year whilst being on the Sports Committee?
I am looking forward to helping plan Varsity and getting as many students involved as possible. I also cannot wait to interact with more Hallam student and getting involved in different sports.
What do you want to achieve by being on the Sports Committee 2010/11?
I want to help all clubs reach their potential as well as get more people get involved with sport at Hallam as I believe it is one of the best ways to feel more involved whilst at uni.

Hobbies and Interests: I get involved with as many sports as possible, I play Cricket, 5-a-side Football, Squash, Golf and Tennis regularly. I also coach cricket as job, which is both enjoyable and rewarding. Away from sport I love nothing more than going out and having a good time with a quality group of mates.
What are you most looking forward to this year whilst being on the Sports Committee?
I’m looking forward to helping every single sports team at Hallam improve and develop into successful and well run clubs.

What are you most looking forward to this year whilst being on the Sports Committee?
Continuing to be involved in sport around the uni, and having the chance to help organise and run the big events such as Get Active Week, both Varsities and Sports Ball.

To remain an undefeated Varsity Champion!
