Men’s Cricket

Sheffield Hallam Cricket is simply an experience that any aspiring cricketer new to Hallam should want to be a part of. It will possibly be the last chance you will have to play with players of a similar age and the chances are that you will make friends for life.

SHU play in the local indoor league in which the two teams finished 1st and 2nd in the premier league last season. We also enter the BUCS competition in which we have reached the finals at Lords 3 times within the last 5 years and have not failed to make the semi final.

Getting Started

Cricket equipment is required (Bat, Batting Pads, Gloves & a Box). Please contact Club Captain or Chairman if you have any questions about this.

Cost

Every member of the club must purchase a Team Hallam membership for £85, which is for a full year. This is available to purchase from the reception desk at either of the two Spot Hallam sports facilities. Once paid, please remember to register via the Sports Union Home Page to make you payment valid!

There will be travel costs to and from training.

Training

Graham Solley: Tuesdays and Wednesdays: 4.30 – 6.30, Every week.

Fixtures

We compete in both the BUCS indoor and outdoor competitions. Also a local, and highly competitive, indoor league. Finally, of course we take part in the annual Varsity competition.
