The club aims to provide students of Sheffield Hallam University with the opportunity to take part in an exciting sport which will keep them fit and well, whilst developing confidence, discipline and self defence techniques.
Boxing is a sport that is stereotypically branded as a violent, male only sport. This is simply not the case with people of all ages, genders and races taking part all over the world. The club we seek to develop at Sheffield Hallam will actively seek new members in a bid to leave the stereotype behind, giving anyone the chance to get involved in a sport that will give them countless health benefits as well as the chance to meet new people.
The club also provides the opportunity for students to compete against other universities and clubs.
Training gear (shorts, trainers, t-shirt) are necessary, gloves, pads and ropes will be provided. Members are welcome to bring their own gloves etc.
Membership cost: £15 p/a (paid at The HUBS)
Lesson Costs: £2.50 (Sheffield City ABC), Free (social sessions)
