Athletics

Our sport is Athletics, which includes sprinting, middle and long distance events, field events and cross-country running.

We compete in various competitions throughout the year including: inter-university indoor competitions such as the ‘Steal Cup’ and Varsity, BUCS indoor and outdoor Championships as well as BUCS cross-country championships.

Hallam Athletics has had many achievements in the past when competing in the major University Championships, picking up medals through individuals and as a team through relay events. We also have a good record at Varsity which we compete against Sheffield University.

If you are a fresher looking to join our fantastic team you will be more than welcome. Whether you love to compete and train hard or just want to keep fit then this is the club for you. We cater for all standards and would love for you to join. We have the facilities and coaches to progress your performance levels, as well as a great team to train alongside and make new friends.

Cost

Every member of the club must purchase a Team Hallam membership for £85, which is for a full year. This is available to purchase from the reception desk at either of the two Sport Hallam sports facilities. Once paid, please remember to register via the Sports Union Home Page to make your payment valid!
