We at SHU Salsa aim to teach our members, as well as the public, the relaxed Cuban style of Salsa in a friendly environment, where you can learn just for fun, or to really progress as a dancer. Members of SHU Salsa can take part in classes – designed for beginners, improvers and intermediate levels- as well as social dancing, trips, and shows/performances.

Lessons with SHU Salsa are competitively priced (£3 for the first class, £1 for each additional class), with special offers for those who chose to become members (loyalty cards allowing members to get one lesson free for every five they attend). So far the society has collaborated with many of the other dance societies, including Hallam Street and Breakdance, and the University of Sheffield Salsa and Merengue Society.

Joining SHU salsa allows students to really become a part of the huge Salsa scene in Sheffield, gain a understanding rhythm that can be incorporated into other dance styles, meet new people and attend regular socials, what are you waiting for?!
