Societies

Formed in 2003, the squad has grown year on year. Most recently they achieved third place at the BCA University Nationals. The squad is a fun and rewarding society that competes regionally and nationally. The 2010/11 squad saw Hallam cheerleading reach new heights as they achieved higher than ever before. They want you to be apart of that!

Cheerleading isn’t waving pom poms or shouting at the side lines. It’s much more than that. Coached by a successful international cheerleader it is a sport that implements stunting, gymnastics, jumps and dance.

Other than cheerleading, the squad also has a dance team who compete across the UK. Every style of dancer is welcome to join the dance squad.

The squad also performs at the annual university sporting event, Varsity. This is where the two Sheffield universities battle it out to see who will be the sporting champion!

Social events take place on a weekly basis. Both alcohol and non-alcohol related! The squad also performs in and around Sheffield showcasing their successful talent.

Our mission: To work hard, train hard, sweat hard and bring home lots of trophies!”
