Hello and welcome to Hallam Unions Societies pages. Everything you want or need to know about societies is here! Including information on our existing societies, how to set up a new society, staff details, up and coming society events and news!
So what are societies all about then? Well basically they can offer you with loads of extra-curricular activities that will add that extra zing to university life whilst studying at Sheffield Hallam University. Hallam Union has over 40 different societies to choose from… such as learning how to Salsa to becoming a cheerleader, or playing mario kart to sampling the fine contemporary art scene of Sheffield. They are a great way to meet new people, to get involved in an activity you love, to develop your skills and a great opportunity to try something completely new. Hallam Union also gives you the chance to create new societies if a subject matter you are interested in doesn’t already exist. Sheffield Hallam University boasts masses of different cultural, sporting, media, religious, academic and social students so getting students interested in your own society wouldn’t prove problematic. So it’s your chance to meet new and like minded people and do cool stuff…like these guys, to name a few!
