At Hallam Union we think it is much safer for you to get a taxi home, even if you haven’t got enough money with you. Our partnership with City Taxis means you can always get home safely.
You can hand your shu card to a driver of a City Taxi as a deposit for your fare which you then pay for later when you collect your shu card from the reception desk at Hallam Union. All you need to do is phone the number below and quote “Hallam Safe Taxi Scheme” when you make your booking.
So now there is no need to risk your safety if you find yourself unable to pay for your taxi home. The scheme covers journeys upto approximately 5.5 miles, and a maximum fair of £10.
A Sheffield Hallam University Student commented: “The scheme is good as it provides easy access to travel if you don’t have the cash on you at that time. I would recommend this scheme to students when they need to get home safely.”
Make sure you keep this number saved in your phone just in case: 0114 2393939
