Sheffield Hallam students union had planned to organise a peaceful protest outside the constituency office of Nick Clegg MP this coming Thursday, the 18th November. It has been brought to our attention that this peaceful protest, may be in danger of being hijacked, should we proceed as planned.
We have therefore decided to cancel our peaceful action, and continue to exert pressure on our politicians, encouraging them to keep to their promises and pledges on fees, by getting thousands of constituents to add their name to the Right to Recall petition; www.righttorecall.org.uk
Sheffield Hallam students union condemns the use of violence. We do not condone criminal damage, and strongly advice our members not to take part in the Education Action Network activity taking place in Sheffield later this week.

Student leaders at Sheffield Hallam University have condemned the report warning that the changes would leave students with more than £45,000 of debt once they graduate.
