Hallam Union is an exciting, fast paced, student led organisation, representing and providing excellent services and facilities for its diverse membership of over 37,000 students. We are now seeking to recruit a Volunteering Project Worker to work within Hallam Volunteering as part of our Member Service section.
Hallam Volunteering offers student-led, community based voluntary opportunities to over 500 students and staff per year from Sheffield Hallam University.
This is a fixed-term post for 6 months at 35 hours per week.
The successful candidate will have graduated to degree level in the last two years, and have a minimum of one academic year’s experience of regularly working within a voluntary project setting or equivalent.
The post is responsible for supporting teams of student volunteers working on a variety of community based projects across Sheffield and surrounding areas.
The closing date for applications is Wednesday 20 January 2010 at 12noon. Interviews will take place on Friday 29 January 2010.

We are looking for a talented, experienced individual to join 3 newly appointed External trustees to work with elected student Officers on the Trustee Board of our £3 million turnover charitable organisation. (This is a re-advertisement, and previous applicants need not apply).
We are looking for a candidate with substantial experience dealing with strategic issues, including interpretation of complex information and effective performance management. In addition, you must have specialist knowledge and experience in one of the following areas:
• Financial management
• Charity law
• Marketing and Communications
• Human Resources
Experience in the not-for-profit sector would be an advantage. Applications from Sheffield Hallam University Alumni would be particularly welcomed.
