Student Representation and Democracy Support Assistant
Scale 3, Points 14 (£15,725) – 6 months fixed term only.
Sheffield Hallam Students’ Union is looking for a positive, enthusiastic and organised individual to join the Representation and Democracy team as a Student Representation and Democracy Support Assistant.
Sheffield Hallam Students’ Union aims to provide excellent services and facilities for its diverse membership of over 37 000 students.
As a Student Representation and Democracy Support Assistant you will be responsible for the day to day provision of support to the Representation and Democracy functions of Hallam Union. You will assist the Representation and Democracy Manager and the Student Representation Coordinator:
- To support the Representation and Democracy function in delivering a high quality service to students, officers and staff.
- To support the development and coordination of representative and democratic initiatives in line with agreed strategies, policies and procedures.
- As a member of the Representation and Democracy team, to contribute positively to the achievement of Hallam Union’s overall mission, vision, values and objectives.
As a member of Hallam Union’s Member Services team you will also work in cross departmental teams to assist in the implementation of key strategic initiatives for Hallam Union. You will have excellent communication and organisational skills and be adept at developing strong working relationships with a range of people.
