The log sheets need to outline what activities you have been involved in, who else has been involved, as well as what skills you’ve been using and their impact.
From time to time something will happen that you need to keep a record of - for example you will go to a ‘big’ meeting or something will go really well or maybe even disastrously wrong! You need to keep a record of this. The Key Event Record allows you to reflect on your experiences and enables you to see how you are developing through your activities, what you are learning and even what you might do differently next time.
This is your chance to look back and identify the skill areas that your Hallam Award activities have helped you to develop. Use the three skill areas you picked at the start (listed on your application form) or you can change these skill areas if you feel you have developed other skills than originally stated.
This is the key part of achieving your award. Give an account of your role, responsibilities, what you have achieved and the skills you have developed throughout the year. How have you achieved your goals? What are the most important things you have learnt? How have your skills improved? What impact or difference have you made? The length of your report is down to you but as a guide, 200 - 250 words is fine.
