Here at Hallam we want you to get the most out of yor student life, and make sure you look after your mind, body and soul. That’s why we’ve laid on a special event to help you take care of all three!

The student Wellfair is your one stop shop for all yor health and wellbeing needs; register with the doctors surgery and dentist, get your BMI checked, speak to experts from local, University and Union health and advice services about anything from nutritional advice to managing your money. Watch displays by the Sheffiedl Fire Brigade and take part in our circus skills and fun fitness workshops and much more. This should not be missed!

Sports Fair

The sports fair is the place to come for everything you need to know about sport and recreation opportunities at Sheffield Hallam. The Sports Union boasts over 35 sports clubs, from performance focuses sports such as footballs, rugby and cricket, to recreational and outdoor activities such as climbing and snowsports.

In addition to club sport, you can also find out about a range of health and fitness opportunities or get involved in our extensive intra-mural programme through Sport Hallam.

Involvement in a sports club is one of the most rewarding and valuable expereinces you can have at University. It provides the chance to meet career. So whether you’re looking to keep fit with friends or you want to represent your country we have an opportunity to suit you.

Freebie Fair

The FREEbie fair is our busiest event in Freshers week and does exactly what it says on the tin. It’s packed full of local and national companies all giving away goodies and discount vouchers absolutely FREE!

Expect to see a huge range of organisations from mobile phone companies, restaurants, local transport, music shops, homeware stores, stationaryshops and it that’s not enough we have Dominos giving away FREE PIZZA!

We have just confirmed that Channel Four’s Embarrassing Bodies are coming to film a freshers special at Hallam Union.

The Embarrassing Bodies Tour Bus, complete with show favourites Dr Christian Jessen and Dr Pixie McKenna, will be parked outside Bar Phoenix as well as the team manning a stall inside the fair itself.
