What are Union Reps?

Union Reps are students that work on a voluntary, part-time basis to try to improve services for students. Union Reps work closely with the Full Time Officer team representing students who fall within their particluar area of focus (i.e. volunteering, societies, media, academic, women students, disabled students, BME students, LGBT students and international students.)

What are the role descriptions of Union Reps?

Lesbian, Gay, Bi-Sexual and Transgender Rep

Disabled Students’ Rep

Media Rep

International Students’ Rep

Academic Rep

Societies Rep

Women’s Rep

Please note for positions of Black, Minority, Ethnic (BME) Students Rep, Disabled Students Rep, Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual and Trans (LBGT) Students Rep students must self define as a member of these groups.

How do I get involved?

If you want to become a Union Rep you need to put yourself forward to be one during the nominations period in January 2013. You will be given full support with your nominations form and throughout the election period.
