Hunters Bar

Hunters Bar is a vibrant area of Sheffield situated around Hunter’s Bar roundabout at the end of Ecclesall Road.

There are loads of great shops, cafes and restaurants and of course the beautiful Endcliffe park.

Street Clean-Up

On Saturday 28th April, Katie and Dougie, the Community Reps for Hunters Bar organised a street clean-up in conjunction with members of the Botanical Gate Community Association. They managed to get a few of their friends involved as well and between them they collected rubbish left on the street along Ecclesall Road. The clean-up was a great success and then they all went for a well earned drink and relax in the pub.

Get Involved!

If you’re a student living in this area, there are loads of ways you can get involved with the local community from volunteering, attending events and having your say at community meetings.

Katie and Dougie the Community Reps for Hunters Bar held a meeting with members of the Botanical Gate Community Association, the Endcliffe Corner Community Association and the Botanical Area Community Association on Wednesday 7th March to discuss the results of a community audit conducted in the area last year. The audit looked at local residents’, both students and longer term residents’, opinions about Hunters Bar and what they would like to see improved. The aim of the meeting was to identify a priority project, event or campaign that the Reps can lead on. Find out more about the Community Audit Meeting.
