Jake Kitchiner, your Welfare and Community Officer for 2010/11, along with a helping hand from the Hallam Union Campaign Reps ran an anti-burglary campaign on campus in October 2010.
The aim was to make sure Hallam students were aware of the different ways that they could help minimise the risk of being a victim of burglary.
“We worked with the police to administer Smartwater kits and immobiliser on two days. We also had an action day, where we actively engaged with students to deliver the message, again working with the police who were giving away UV pens and signing students up to immobiliser.
It was great to have students involved in the campaign, and great to see although they felt Sheffield was safe, they were aware of the issue. It was fun and engaging as well.” Jake Kitchiner, Welfare and Community Officer 2010/11.
