From Events, Summer of Fun: Get Active, Whats On
The Get Active Summer Programme is an opportunity for you to play sport and make new friends. The activities are very informal, so you can turn up and play without committing every week. The sessions are led by Get Active coaches, who will suit the session to what you want to do. So you can turn up and just play, or have some coaching to improve your skills.
The programme will run two days a week: Tuesdays at City campus and Thursdays at Collegiate campus. Remember… all sessions are FREE!
For each session, we have meeting point, where our Get Active Leaders will greet you accompany you to the activities. Your Get Active Leader will also join in with the activities and help you if you have any questions.
All equipment is provided (you can bring your own if you like), and you don’t need to have played the sport before. So come on down and give it a try.

Take a trip to the beautiful city of Cambridge where you can explore the traditional Universities and gardens.

Discover the history of Sheffield with a trip to Kelham Island Museum which stands on a 900 year old man-made island. Learn what it was like to live and work in Sheffield during the Industrial Revolution and follow the growth of the city through the Victorian Era and two world wars to see how steelmaking forged both the City of today and the world!
There will also be a vintage fair, with live music and dance, stalls, entertainment and much more! £3.50 entrance fee with your student card, meet at 11am outside ‘Sheffield Cathedral’.
