Frequently asked questions:

Do I have to take my ticket to the event?
Yes, all guests need to take their ticket to the event. Guests who purchase tickets online will have their tickets posted to the person who bought the tickets.

Can non-sports club members purchase tickets?
Yes, they can either sit with a club or form a table of their own if there is a large enough group (8 or more). Friends, family, partners, Union and University staff, and alumni are all welcome to attend.

When is the last date for purchasing a ticket?
Friday 18th May 2012.

The Torch arrives in Sheffield for an evening celebration, on Monday, June 25th. 

During the afternoon there will be lots of exciting activities which you can get involved in to celebrate the torch passing through the city. Afternoon activities will include;

  • Alternative Olympics
  • Arts and Craft workshops
  • Cultural carnival – culture sharing, costume making
  • Creating legacy promise trees
  • Performances from the community

Monday 25th June, 1- 4pm,  Devonshire Green, Free to attend

The programme will run two days a week: Tuesdays at City campus and Thursdays at Collegiate campus. Remember… all sessions are FREE!

For each session, we have meeting point, where our Get Active Leaders will greet you accompany you to the activities.  Your Get Active Leader will also join in with the activities and help you if you have any questions.

All equipment is provided (you can bring your own if you like), and you don’t need to have played the sport before. So come on down and give it a try.
