Thinking of studying at Sheffield Hallam University?

Did you know the Sheffield Hallam Advice Centre can give you free advice?

We know it can be hard to find clear information about student finance, but fear not, our Advice centre can help even if you are not yet a SHU student.

Go to www.hallamunion.orgto get online advice and information…and get a bit of sneak peek of all the other stuff Hallam Students’ Union has to offer when you get here.

Our advisers also give talks at colleges in the region so you should ask your institution if we will be visiting you.

If you have an unconditional offer to study at Sheffield Hallam and you need further information or want to discuss your individual circumstances you can book an appointment to see an Adviser for one-to-one advice. If you live too far away to get here, we can arrange a telephone appointment for you or you can email your query to us. We can tell you:

-The funding you would receive through Student Finance England and how the loan system works;

-How Postgraduate, Part Time and NHS and Teaching students are funded;

-How your benefits and tax credits would be affected;

-What other sources of funding you may be entitled to such as the Access to Learning Fund and Hallam’s Bursaries.
