How can I get involved?

The Advice Centre runs different opportunities open to any student to get involved in:

Money Doctors: Money Doctors is a scheme run by the Advice Centre with the aim of improving students’ ability to manage their own financial affairs. This should help to prevent financial problems arising both during studies and in the future once the student leaves University. You can help us run various Money Doctors events such as workshops, info stalls and money hunts. The skills you will gain from this are communication skills, events planning and managing skills, dealing with sensitive or confidential enquiries, marketing and promotion skills.

Want to get experience working on a busy welcome desk? You can volunteer to help run the welcome desk in our Advice Centre where you will learn lots of transferrable skills for your CV including communication, customer service, team working, answering the phone and dealing with sensitive and confidential enquiries.
