A big thank you to the 4,760 final year students who completed the National Student Survey. Not only did 73% of final year students help to improve the student experience for future students, but in doing so they raised a fantastic £9,520 for our four RAG Charities.

Last week student volunteers at Sheffield Hallam University Students’ Union ran a week of fundraising activities for the Union’s Raise and Give (RAG) scheme.
Events included a Dance-off, Sleepover at The HUBS and Christmas Show all in aid of charity. The activities were organised by Hallam Union’s RAG Committee with support from Activities Officer, Jenna Meeking. In total the RAG Week raised £900.
The money raised will be donated to four fantastic charities supported by Hallam Union’s RAG scheme which are: Roundabout, The National Autistic Society in Rotherham, Barnardo’s and Oxfam.
Jenna Meeking, Activities Officer commented; “Working with students to organise RAG Week has been hard work but lots of fun. We’ve tried to raise awareness of the positive impact fundraising can have for local, regional, national and international charities through a diverse range of fundraising events. We’re really pleased to have raised £900, as every little bit really does help!”
Hallam Union will run another RAG Week in March 2013.

RAG Weeks planning has started, and many students are getting involved!
We have lots of exciting fundraising activities planned for our next RAG Week which is 3rd-9th December. After December, our next RAG Week is 17th March – 7th April 2013.
