Whether you are a first time student or you are returning for another year at Hallam University, this page will help you get to grips with all that’s going on at Hallam Union for Freshers 2010.
We have something going on for everyone including live music, comedy nights, club nights, an old school sports day, talks on budgeting, poster sales plus the four main fairs, Welfair, Activities, Sports and the Freebie Fair.
The fun doesn’t end after freshers. Hallam Union has loads going on right through the year. You can get involved with societies, volunteering, sports and come to any of our weekly club nights and quizzes. Don’t forget you can always drop in to our advice centre any time during the day if you have any questions, big or small, about any aspect of student life.
Another major part of Hallam Union is its democracy. Each year you can vote to elect a team of Officers who over see the running of the union and make decisions on your behalf to ensure the union remains up to date with current student’s needs. You can also become a student rep, sit on the union council or be a student trustee if you fancy getting involved in the decision making within Hallam Union.
So if you want to be more than the usual student stereotype (drinking tea and watching too much day time telly) get involved!
